This is a brief video with Dulce's bio
Our workshops not only focus on goal-oriented activities with our horses. Equally important in the Life-Is-Art™ model are reflective activities that create spaces of "being" as opposed to "doing". These are great opportunities for deep exploration of our relationship to self and others.
Active, goal-oriented activities are valuable ways to become aware of things like communication patterns and leadership style, as well as a great tool to strengthen our mind-body connection.
In this clip Dulce "sends off" her horse Valentine into a trot in the round pen. This seemingly simple action sheds light on how effective we are in using non-verbal communication skills to establish a healthy conversation with the horse. These experiences are fully transferable into our everyday lives, both in our personal and professional lives. According to the research, non-verbal communication accounts for 70-90% of our conversations! Therefore, horses have much to teach us in this area: how embodied are we? How strong is our mind-body connection? How are we using our energy when we communicate with others? How authentic are we in our approach to others?
